About Us
There is a brotherhood among the styled. I don’t say ‘stylish’ as that seems too subjective. Men cut from
that cloth don’t commonly congregate in packs as you might find at your local public house. These men
would rather lead than follow. WE are drawn to them. They are mysterious yet approachably ordinary
and decidedly direct as much as they are laid back. These men are conscious of how they ‘wear’
themselves. This man is a rebel in his own right. He’s told you everything you need to know about
himself in his dress.
Most men that I see on the street shed their deepest secrets by simply donning their clothes. Quite
ironic if you ask me. For example; if one chooses to strut down the boulevard wearing a leather vest
with spandex shorts accentuated by a disproportionate physique, more power to him. We see that man
coming a mile away and make no mistake of who he is; we know everything about him. We’ve all seen
our fair share of atrocious spectacles while the rest of us humbly fight to keep our lunches down.
A Styled man moves in and out of a room, as cool as you like, with an air of confidence you can’t buy in a
boutique or a department store. Chins will raise and eyes will follow this man all who see him will ask,
“Who is this Man?” No matter what they conjure they will not know him because they aren’t
accustomed to seeing a well groomed, put together man. Shouldn’t they be? I’ve often been asked
“what’s the special occasion” when dressed as I thought to be rather casual. You won’t get that kind of
attention from wearing camouflaged cargo shorts and a backward baseball cap; the aloof sports fan who
gobbles up hot dogs as fast as he dons his favorite teams’ paraphernalia. That dress says something
entirely different about a person. Let’s bury the idea that a man cannot be well styled and be
comfortable.
The Styled man tells you exactly what you need to know about him. Nothing more, nothing less.
Sometimes I see men sharing too much. The Italian cut suits that billow and unfurl with overshined
wingtips and over whitened teeth accessorized by bling on their wrists and fingers. These men need to
throw money at substance to become caricatures from BusinessWeek. None of this is wrong but is a
very expensive generic.
It’s important to wear yourself with confidence and style yourself uniquely to accurately reflect who you
are without giving too much or not enough about yourself so you can garner the respect you deserve.
Who is this styled man? We are many, we are Man, made Renaissance Modern.
